At The Virtual Summit

Wow!  What an incredible weekend.  There were so many highlights, tips, techniques, strategies, stories, that were helpful, inspiring, life-changing….I mean it was just absolutely Brilliant! There were 6 different speakers, plus Dr. Jay and it was amazing.  Each speaker brought their own unique talents, perspective, and coaching to share.  Any one of the lessons taught was priceless, plus Dr. Jay asking questions, clarifying, and ultimately sharing some of his own thoughts on success in business and in life, made for just a phenomenal experience. We hope to be able to provide access for a fee to the entire webinar soon, so even if you missed it, you can purchase a “forever” pass to be able to watch it again and again..soon!

10, 3, 2, 1, 0?

So one of the speakers at the Virtual Summit was Jared Boyle.  Now Jared has a very diverse success background. He is a professional health coach, as well as a fitness, nutrition, and stress management expert. Jared also is a former champion body builder, and someone who has coached champions as well.  He shared some really helpful tips for how to improve the quality of your business and life, and one of the things he shared really stuck with me.  That is the 10, 3, 2, 1, 0 philosophy.  Here it is for you today:

10 Hours Before Bedtime….NO CAFEEINE
3 Hours Before Bedtime…NO ALCOHOL
2 Hours Before Bedtime…NO WORK
1 Hour Before Bedtime…NO SCREEN/DEVICES
0 SNOOZE BUTTONING

Jared spent a good deal of time delving into the specifics of why those guidelines are important.  Suffice it to say they all have to do with maximizing the quality of your sleep, and maximizing the benefits your body gets from that same sleep. Each of the guidelines is based on what is necessary to not disrupt the delicate balance of our bodies before the all-important sleep we get.  Using the snooze button can be detrimental as well, since we need 90 minutes for a full sleep cycle, and most of us are snoozing for far less.  As a result we are better off, just eliminating it from our lives.
